# Crypty vs Cyph

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Crypty at none against Cyph's 1. Cyph's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cyph sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $68.99 per month. Crypty asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for Crypty against 3.1 for Cyph. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cyph has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Crypty ships an update every 5 months, Cyph every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
