# Close vs Videoland

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Close at 74% against Videoland's 20%. Close also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Videoland's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (477 vs 35). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Videoland holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Videoland has 477 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Close's written reviews are positive against 20% of Videoland's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Close ships an update every 4 days, Videoland weekly. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
