# Hola vs ChatU Live

The clearest difference is rating: ChatU Live at 5.0 against Hola's 2.8. Hola's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatU Live sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Hola asks for nothing beyond the download.

ChatU Live holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hola has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hola ships an update fortnightly, ChatU Live every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on June 11, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
