# Productive.ai vs Impression Journal

The clearest difference is rating: Impression Journal at 5.0 against Productive.ai's 4.0. Productive.ai's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (52 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Productive.ai sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month and Impression Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Impression Journal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Productive.ai has 52 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Productive.ai ships an update weekly, Impression Journal every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
