# Hungry Caterpillar Play School vs EverClass

The clearest difference is rating: EverClass at 5.0 against Hungry Caterpillar Play School's 4.2. EverClass also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks). Hungry Caterpillar Play School's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (25K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hungry Caterpillar Play School sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and EverClass sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EverClass holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hungry Caterpillar Play School has 25K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hungry Caterpillar Play School ships an update every 5 weeks, EverClass every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
