# AMD Link vs G

The clearest difference is review sentiment: G at 80% against AMD Link's 24%. G also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). AMD Link's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. G sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. AMD Link asks for nothing beyond the download.

G holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: G has 683 ratings behind it against 52, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of AMD Link's written reviews are positive against 80% of G's.

AMD Link ships an update every 2 months, G fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
