# Cute Notch vs Flop

The clearest difference is rating: Cute Notch at 5.0 against Flop's 4.4. Cute Notch also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). Flop's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 57%) and ratings volume (312 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cute Notch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Flop sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cute Notch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flop has 312 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Cute Notch's written reviews are positive against 84% of Flop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cute Notch ships an update every 7 months, Flop every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
