# NEXUS vs Blockvita

The clearest difference is rating: Blockvita at 5.0 against NEXUS's 4.3. Blockvita also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). NEXUS's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NEXUS sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Blockvita asks for nothing beyond the download.

Blockvita holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NEXUS has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NEXUS ships an update every 3 weeks, Blockvita every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
