# Simpletext vs Superlist

The clearest difference is price: Superlist at Free against Simpletext's $14.99. Superlist also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). Simpletext's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 15) and review sentiment (73% vs 48%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Superlist is free to download; Simpletext costs $14.99 up front. Superlist sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. Simpletext asks for nothing beyond the download.

Superlist holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superlist has 460 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Simpletext's written reviews are positive against 48% of Superlist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simpletext ships an update every 3 months, Superlist every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
