# UDictionary Translator vs Snap

The clearest difference is ads: Snap at none against UDictionary Translator's shown. Snap also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). UDictionary Translator's advantage is ratings volume (9.3K vs 45) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UDictionary Translator sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Snap sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UDictionary Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UDictionary Translator has 9.3K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of UDictionary Translator's written reviews are positive against 50% of Snap's.

UDictionary Translator ships an update fortnightly, Snap every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
