# GG| vs Gathrone Games

The clearest difference is rating: GG| at 4.1 against Gathrone Games's 3.6. GG| also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (204 vs 35). Gathrone Games's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (80% vs 64%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GG| sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Gathrone Games asks for nothing beyond the download.

GG| holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GG| has 204 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of GG|'s written reviews are positive against 80% of Gathrone Games's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GG| ships an update every 6 weeks, Gathrone Games every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
