# DigiLocker vs PDF Maker

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Maker at 4.6 against DigiLocker's 3.3. PDF Maker also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 190). DigiLocker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Maker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. DigiLocker asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDF Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Maker has 1.1K ratings behind it against 190, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of DigiLocker's written reviews are positive against 29% of PDF Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DigiLocker ships an update every 3 weeks, PDF Maker every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
