# FirstSeed Calendar vs Lockera

The clearest difference is ads: Lockera at none against FirstSeed Calendar's shown. Lockera also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). FirstSeed Calendar's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (336 vs 17). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FirstSeed Calendar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Lockera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FirstSeed Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FirstSeed Calendar has 336 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 80% and 80% positive.

FirstSeed Calendar ships an update every 8 days, Lockera every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
