# FirstSeed Calendar vs Solid Calendar

The clearest difference is ads: Solid Calendar at none against FirstSeed Calendar's shown. Solid Calendar also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). FirstSeed Calendar's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FirstSeed Calendar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Solid Calendar sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solid Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 337 and 120 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of FirstSeed Calendar's written reviews are positive against 79% of Solid Calendar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FirstSeed Calendar ships an update every 8 days, Solid Calendar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
