# MeetHook vs Hooroo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MeetHook at none against Hooroo's 7. MeetHook also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Hooroo's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hooroo sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. MeetHook asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hooroo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MeetHook has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MeetHook ships an update every 2 months, Hooroo every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
