# Samurai Swords Store vs Venum

The clearest difference is rating: Venum at 4.9 against Samurai Swords Store's 4.2. Venum also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 10 months). Samurai Swords Store's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 64%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Venum holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Venum has 1.8K ratings behind it against 183, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Samurai Swords Store's written reviews are positive against 64% of Venum's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Samurai Swords Store ships an update every 10 months, Venum every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
