# CRSimplified vs Slingshot3

The clearest difference is rating: CRSimplified at 2.1 against Slingshot3's 1.0. CRSimplified also leads on ratings volume (14 vs 1). Slingshot3's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CRSimplified holds the better App Store score, 2.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CRSimplified has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CRSimplified ships an update monthly, Slingshot3 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
