# NETGEAR Armor vs SofaBaton

The clearest difference is rating: NETGEAR Armor at 4.7 against SofaBaton's 2.4. NETGEAR Armor also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 298). SofaBaton's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NETGEAR Armor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NETGEAR Armor has 12K ratings behind it against 298, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of NETGEAR Armor's written reviews are positive against 37% of SofaBaton's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NETGEAR Armor ships an update every 2 months, SofaBaton every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
