# Wellcee vs Cages

The clearest difference is rating: Wellcee at 4.8 against Cages's 3.6. Wellcee also leads on ratings volume (614 vs 7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Cages's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 64%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wellcee holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wellcee has 614 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Wellcee's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cages's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wellcee ships an update every 2 weeks, Cages every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
