# SubConnect vs Eclipse Now

The clearest difference is rating: Eclipse Now at 5.0 against SubConnect's 1.6. Eclipse Now also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). SubConnect's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Eclipse Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SubConnect has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SubConnect ships an update every 3 months, Eclipse Now fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
