# Thunderbird Strike vs 5e Companion App

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Thunderbird Strike at none against 5e Companion App's 10. Thunderbird Strike also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). 5e Companion App's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 53%) and ratings volume (434 vs 39). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 5e Companion App sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Thunderbird Strike asks for nothing beyond the download.

Thunderbird Strike holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 5e Companion App has 434 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Thunderbird Strike's written reviews are positive against 71% of 5e Companion App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
