# Giggster vs Gather

The clearest difference is ads: Giggster at none against Gather's shown. Giggster also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 2). Gather's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Giggster against 5.0 for Gather. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Giggster has 2.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Giggster ships an update every 5 weeks, Gather weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
