# R.W. Elephant vs Dubsado

The clearest difference is monetization model: R.W. Elephant at free against Dubsado's subscription. Dubsado's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (577 vs 13). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dubsado holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dubsado has 577 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of R.W. Elephant's written reviews are positive against 71% of Dubsado's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

R.W. Elephant ships an update every 2 months, Dubsado every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
