# vSite AR vs GIS Lite

The clearest difference is rating: vSite AR at 4.4 against GIS Lite's 1.0. vSite AR also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). GIS Lite's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

vSite AR holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: vSite AR has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of vSite AR's written reviews are positive against 50% of GIS Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

vSite AR ships an update every 2 weeks, GIS Lite every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
