# AMSS vs Rapid

The clearest difference is rating: Rapid at 5.0 against AMSS's 2.9. Rapid also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). AMSS's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rapid holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AMSS has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AMSS ships an update every 2 months, Rapid every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
