# 4th Wall vs Dream Machine Experience

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dream Machine Experience at 100% against 4th Wall's 67%. Dream Machine Experience also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). 4th Wall's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (42 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

4th Wall holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 4th Wall has 42 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of 4th Wall's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dream Machine Experience's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

4th Wall ships an update every 11 days, Dream Machine Experience weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
