# Matrix Connect vs LaTeX Note

The clearest difference is update cadence: LaTeX Note at every 4 weeks against Matrix Connect's every 2 months. Matrix Connect's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Matrix Connect ships an update every 2 months, LaTeX Note every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
