# Matrix Connect vs Rita Meet

The clearest difference is monetization model: Matrix Connect at free against Rita Meet's subscription. Matrix Connect also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). Rita Meet's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Matrix Connect ships an update every 2 months, Rita Meet weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
