# NAD OSD vs AVA

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AVA at none against NAD OSD's 1. AVA also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). NAD OSD's advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NAD OSD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. AVA asks for nothing beyond the download.

AVA holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NAD OSD has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of NAD OSD's written reviews are positive against 100% of AVA's.

NAD OSD ships an update every 3 weeks, AVA every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
