# Alkatronic vs SYNA

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SYNA at 371 against Alkatronic's 6. SYNA also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). Alkatronic's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.4) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alkatronic holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SYNA has 371 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Alkatronic's written reviews are positive against 3% of SYNA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alkatronic ships an update every 6 weeks, SYNA every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
