# CUE Live vs ArtsWave

The clearest difference is rating: CUE Live at 4.8 against ArtsWave's 4.1. CUE Live also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (5.2K vs 22). ArtsWave's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ArtsWave sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. CUE Live asks for nothing beyond the download.

CUE Live holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CUE Live has 5.2K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of CUE Live's written reviews are positive against 71% of ArtsWave's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CUE Live ships an update every 5 weeks, ArtsWave fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
