# Midnight Video Camera vs Zoom Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Zoom Camera at 4.4 against Midnight Video Camera's 2.7. Zoom Camera also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Midnight Video Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Midnight Video Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Zoom Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zoom Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zoom Camera has 42 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Midnight Video Camera's written reviews are positive against 38% of Zoom Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Midnight Video Camera ships an update every 6 weeks, Zoom Camera every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
