# HITS vs Smart Switch

The clearest difference is rating: HITS at 5.0 against Smart Switch's 4.0. HITS also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (64% vs 54%). Smart Switch's advantage is ratings volume (163 vs 4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HITS sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Smart Switch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $18.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HITS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Switch has 163 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of HITS's written reviews are positive against 54% of Smart Switch's.

HITS ships an update every 2 months, Smart Switch every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
