# Daily Devo vs Shamah

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Daily Devo at none against Shamah's 2. Daily Devo also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (181 vs 20). Shamah's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shamah sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Daily Devo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shamah holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Devo has 181 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Daily Devo's written reviews are positive against 78% of Shamah's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daily Devo ships an update every 2 weeks, Shamah every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
