# Daily Devo vs He Would Love First

The clearest difference is ads: Daily Devo at none against He Would Love First's shown. Daily Devo also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). He Would Love First's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 200). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

He Would Love First holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: He Would Love First has 1.1K ratings behind it against 200, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Daily Devo's written reviews are positive against 81% of He Would Love First's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daily Devo ships an update every 2 weeks, He Would Love First every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
