# Dice vs Chancilo

The clearest difference is rating: Chancilo at 4.4 against Dice's 3.0. Chancilo also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2). Dice's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 38%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dice sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Chancilo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chancilo holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chancilo has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Dice's written reviews are positive against 38% of Chancilo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
