# Dice vs Simple Roll Dice

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Simple Roll Dice at none against Dice's 1. Dice's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 20 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dice sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simple Roll Dice asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dice ships an update monthly, Simple Roll Dice every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
