# Akilanews.com Official vs The Lallantop

The clearest difference is ads: The Lallantop at none against Akilanews.com Official's shown. The Lallantop also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (85 vs 17). Akilanews.com Official's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 43%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Lallantop holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Lallantop has 85 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Akilanews.com Official's written reviews are positive against 43% of The Lallantop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Akilanews.com Official ships an update every 2 months, The Lallantop every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
