# Super Comics vs WebComics

The clearest difference is rating: WebComics at 4.8 against Super Comics's 3.5. WebComics also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (67K vs 10). Super Comics's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Super Comics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and WebComics sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WebComics holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WebComics has 67K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Super Comics's written reviews are positive against 45% of WebComics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Super Comics ships an update every 3 weeks, WebComics every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
