# Split Smart vs Swimlytics

The clearest difference is price: Swimlytics at Free against Split Smart's $2.99. Swimlytics also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). Split Smart's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (143 vs 10). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Swimlytics is free to download; Split Smart costs $2.99 up front. Split Smart sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Swimlytics sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Split Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Split Smart has 143 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Split Smart's written reviews are positive against 100% of Swimlytics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Split Smart ships an update every 4 months, Swimlytics every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
