# Bear Focus Timer vs Pomu

The clearest difference is price: Pomu at Free against Bear Focus Timer's $2.99. Pomu also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3). Bear Focus Timer's advantage is ratings volume (155 vs 6) and review sentiment (70% vs 56%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Pomu is free to download; Bear Focus Timer costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pomu holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bear Focus Timer has 155 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Bear Focus Timer's written reviews are positive against 56% of Pomu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
