# Beyond Solar vs Flying Tank

Beyond Solar and Flying Tank both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 96% of Beyond Solar's written reviews are positive against 72% of Flying Tank's. Beyond Solar also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.4). Flying Tank's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (384 vs 51). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beyond Solar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flying Tank sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beyond Solar holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Tank has 384 ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Beyond Solar's written reviews are positive against 72% of Flying Tank's.

Beyond Solar ships an update every 3 months, Flying Tank every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
