# ECOVACS HOME vs Secureye Smart

The clearest difference is ads: Secureye Smart at none against ECOVACS HOME's shown. Secureye Smart also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). ECOVACS HOME's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (57K vs 2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Secureye Smart holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ECOVACS HOME has 57K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of ECOVACS HOME's written reviews are positive against 50% of Secureye Smart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ECOVACS HOME ships an update every 3 weeks, Secureye Smart every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
