# Filterstation2 vs WOV

The clearest difference is update cadence: WOV at every 3 months against Filterstation2's every 19 months. WOV also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 12.0). Filterstation2's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 67%) and price ($4.99 vs $5.99). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Filterstation2 costs $4.99 and WOV $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WOV holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 19 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Filterstation2's written reviews are positive against 67% of WOV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Filterstation2 ships an update every 19 months, WOV every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
