# Calc² vs Solves

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Calc² at none against Solves's 6. Calc² also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 15). Solves's advantage is ratings volume (381 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solves sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Calc² asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Calc² against 4.9 for Solves. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solves has 381 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
