# Hookle vs Litbub

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hookle at every 2 weeks against Litbub's every 2 months. Hookle also leads on ratings volume (330 vs 1). Litbub's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hookle sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Litbub sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Litbub holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hookle has 330 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Hookle's written reviews are positive against 100% of Litbub's.

Hookle ships an update every 2 weeks, Litbub every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
