# ProxyPics vs Pic4Pay

The clearest difference is rating: ProxyPics at 4.8 against Pic4Pay's 3.0. ProxyPics also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 2). Pic4Pay's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ProxyPics holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProxyPics has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ProxyPics ships an update monthly, Pic4Pay every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
