# Swapfiets vs Hely

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hely at free with in-app purchases against Swapfiets's subscription. Swapfiets's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (519 vs 21). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Swapfiets holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swapfiets has 519 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Swapfiets ships an update every 2 weeks, Hely fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
