# GOLFTEC vs AliveDrive Race

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AliveDrive Race at none against GOLFTEC's 2. AliveDrive Race also leads on rating (4.2 vs 4.0) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). GOLFTEC's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (694 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GOLFTEC sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. AliveDrive Race asks for nothing beyond the download.

AliveDrive Race holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GOLFTEC has 694 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of GOLFTEC's written reviews are positive against 50% of AliveDrive Race's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
