# SpeakTimer vs 1Timer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 1Timer at 81% against SpeakTimer's 54%. 1Timer also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 218). SpeakTimer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpeakTimer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and 1Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

1Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1Timer has 1.2K ratings behind it against 218, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of SpeakTimer's written reviews are positive against 81% of 1Timer's.

SpeakTimer ships an update every 3 weeks, 1Timer every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
